TOTAL GENERATION OF GUJARAT, FUTURE EXPANSION, PRODUCTION GROWTH

GUJARAT’S ELECTRICITY SCENARIO

Gujarat’s state electricity production is currently not well-defined electricity sector. In Gujarat generation of electricity totally dominated by thermal power plant around 70 % installed capacity around 23800 MW. Electricity generation by Renewable energy around 29 % of total generation of electricity around 11000 MW. Installed capacity of Hydro power plants takes part 5.3 % in total generation. Nuclear power plant takes part around 1.3 % of total electricity generation of Gujarat. In future Gujarat totally depend on renewable energy sources and less losses. Gujarat’s electricity production increase around 74 % up to 2030 means Gujarat’s electricity production must be increased by 70 % from 110 TWh to 209 TWh in between 2020 to 2030. Total generation of Gujarat’s and Installed capacity of Gujarat are show in below.

Gujarat import coal from the other state most of its storage. Gujarat has and will continue to manage the burden of expensive thermal products. But in future there will not coal supply continue anymore, so generation of electricity totally depends upon renewable energy source in future. Total Technical and commercial losses reduce around 9 % up to 2030. So up to 2030 total GDP will increase around 7 % annually.

India leading to install a convenient energy generation system in the future. In the next 5-10 years, most electricity generation from renewable sources will be higher than the energy generation from nonrenewable energy sources. Currently under PM Narendra Modi in Madhya Pradesh (REVA) government installs the largest solar system among continental of Asia. Solar systems have many disadvantages in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. But in future which type of problems will come, the solar system will be the only option for that problem.
