These 6 countries are banning new Petrol and diesel cars by 2030
Denmark
Denmark's official hopes to have 1 million electrical vehicle on road by 2030.
United Kingdom
From 2030 all new cars will have to be hybrid or electric.
Netherlands
Germany
You can get a grant of up to €6,000 towards an electric vehicle.
Iceland
It may make exceptions in remote areas where charging could be difficult.
Ireland
Ireland's government wants more than 900,000 electrical vehicles on the road by 2030.
Up to 2035 almost all countries have similar target
Israel is banning petrol and diesel cars imports by 2030. While France plans to ban new emitting vehicles by 2040. But Norway has set the world's most ambitious target by banning all new petrol and diesel vehicles sales by 2050. There's a long way to go, or these targets will be hit.
In 2018 only 2% of new car registrations in the EU were electric. In that report 4% were hybrid, 36% were diesel, and 57% were petrol. In 2018, just 1.5% of total vehicles sales were electric. 1.3 million in total vehicles are electric.
