AstraZeneca and Oxford scientist say their COVID-19 Vaccine is up to 90% effective. They want to produce 200 million doses by the end of the year. And 3 billion doses globally by the end of 2021.

In trials, the vaccine prevented COVID-19 symptoms in 70% of participants. This grew to 90 %, in those given a smaller initial dose. Which scientists think might encourage a stronger immune system response. Smaller dose would also mean more people could be treated with existing supplies.
