GUJARAT’S ELECTRICITY SCENARIO Gujarat’s state electricity production is currently not well-defined electricity sector. In Gujarat generation of electricity totally dominated by thermal power plant around 70 % installed capacity around 23800 MW. Electricity generation by Renewable energy around 29 % of total generation of electricity around 11000 MW. Installed capacity of Hydro power plants takes part 5.3 % in total generation. Nuclear power plant takes part around 1.3 % of total electricity generation of Gujarat. In future Gujarat totally depend on renewable energy sources and less losses. Gujarat’s electricity production increase around 74 % up to 2030 means Gujarat’s electricity production must be increased by 70 % from 110 TWh to 209 TWh in between 2020 to 2030.
