We are discussing here why football players earn more money than they deserve

We have very interesting debate when someone claimed "footballers truly deserve their high wages" and 57% of football fans were disagreed with the statement. So the majority of people say that footballer don't deserve this much money. Personaly I think this is rather an easy excuse than well thought issue. I agree that footballer deserve their money and here we are going to see why

We live in a world where your income depends on your value for society. The value footballers like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi provide is that they Entertain us. Like people like to bring up the argument "Doctor save life so they deserve more money than footballers." Off course saving a life is way more important than entertainment, but when Ronaldo and Messi bring joy to hundreds of millions of people. If one doctor saved millions of lives, which he theoretical can't he would earn even more money but he doesn't.

Footballers deserve their wages because they generate  the money themselves. It's simple the best players make their clubs countless millions every year through marketing. And see everywhere in the world of work, they usually make even more money for their club than what they are being paid - this is what they are signed for. And this is why neither female footballers nor doctors earn €500k/week. I mean where would that money come from? They don't generate it, footballers do it for the club.

Another important point that we need to consider is that Footballers are almost impossible to replace. With all due respect to their crucial jobs, there are millions of people around the world who can become a doctor or nurse. But how many people can become world class footballers? Only a handful every year. This point makes them unique, and it's called demand and supply.

What people often tend to forget is that country to an average person who earn over 40-50 years, a footballer's career only last 10-15 years, If he is lucky. After that they have to start a new life and somehow try to find a way to integrate themselves into the normal world in order to keep up their lifestyle, often without any form of education.

That's why after retiring, many players go bankrupt or develop serious addictions. And this problem is even worse for lower league footballers. We only talk about the top stars, there are so many players out there in worse leagues, like 2nd and 3rd tiers who earn way less than sometimes only the wages of normal people. Yet, these guys are too dedicate their life to football. What will they do after their career. Compete with much more experienced and more educated people on the normal job market.

Last but not least, only few people realize what sacrifice you have to make to become a football player. You can forget about your childhood. Barley any time for friends and family as a boy. Staying under intense pressure day in day out. Get slaughtered by the media on every move you make, even as a young lad. Not even being able to properly go out in public. Who would want that? Most people wouldn't. But they are always quick to judge.
