Who is Darkseid

Basically in DC comics there are two types of gods, Old Gods and New Gods. Old Gods are mysterious gods which belongs to old myth and concept like Olympian gods. Old gods were gods of perticular concept like Zeus is the king of gods and he has lightning power, Artimis 'God of hunting', Ares 'God of war'.
 These are the old gods based on old concept. With technology revolution and development new concept comes. In advance days and advance concept new gods comes know as New Gods'. 

But New Gods also split into two parts. First Part is 'New Genisis' which is represent technology, brotherhood, spirituality and advance world. HighFather is the king of New Genisis. 

And another part is Apokolips which is represent military, corruptions and pollution. Darkseid is the king of Apokolips and he not afraid of anyone accept HighFather, Orayan, And The Source. 

We saw Darkseid in Jack Snyder's cut. And many questions came in our mind. Who is this character and why is he come to the earth. 

So The Darkseid is the New Gods and he come to earth to kill all human beings. But there are another characters as well in Snyder Cut if you notice. According to comics only god can kill another god.  That's why Zeus, Ares and Artimis team up to kill Darkseid. You can also see this in Snyder Cut of Justice league trailer. 

Marvel Copy Darkseid's character and made Thanos

Original idea of creating Thanos from DC character 'The Darkseid'. But Thanks was copied Metron. Roy Thomas wanted to create someone powerful as well as dangerous like Darkseid and that's why he created Thanos. 
This is fact that Thanos is way behind in terms of power. Darkseid is so powerful beings in DC comics. Darkseid's moto is finish all the universe, erase all the hope and create the universe by his way. Darkseid is the most powerful beings in DC comics. He also know as a 'Gods of Evil' in comics. 

Origin Story of Darkseid

In DC comics Darkseid has more than one origin story. But here we are talking about Darkside origin story based on 'New 52 series'. In 'New 52' comic books there are 52 multiverse and all of that multiverse have same 'God set' which means all of multiverse have only one Darkseid. Only one Darkseid belongs to all 52 multiverse. Before Darkseid become 'The Darkseid'. He was a farmer. Darkseid's original name was Uxas.

 He hated his own world God, also known as 'Old God'. Because he believe in myth that, It doesn't matter how much people admire and pray to the Old Gods, they don't care at all about us. 

 He also believe that Old Gods are always mind in their own business that's why thousands of people die everyday.
One day Uxas reach the mountain where all old gods live. When Uxas reached there all old gods were in sleep. Uxas grabbed that chance and he planted dauts and hate in all the old gods mind. And there were all the trouble began. Old gods started to fighting with eachother and that's why thousands of inocent people died and many universe distroyed.
When all gods tired to fighting than Darkseid came with his Power observing skill and he killed all the Old Gods and took thier power and became 'The Darkseid'. The king of Apokolips. But at the last breath one of the god gave his all power to the Darkseid' brother. Later that he became 'High Father'. The king of 'New genisis'. 

Power of Darkseid

 Darkseid has power like Superhuman strength, stamina, speed, agility, and Durability. Darkseid also is Imortal. Darkseid is also specialist in hand to hand combat fight. He also has telepathy ability. He also genius level tactician.

 Darkseid is the new gods and his main power is Omega Beams, which is emmit from his eyes, he can control his Omega Beams and also project it anywhere he want. He can also emmit omega beams through his hands. 

Which persons face his omega beams than instantly become disintegrate. In comics only two people survived from Darkseid's Omega Beams, Super Man and Doomsday. Darkseid has pin point control on Omega Beams.

 He can reflect Omega Beams at any direction. Darkseid is so powerful, because in comics at one point he distroyed green lantern's ring. Even when he was not in 100% percent he fought neck to neck to the Olympian god Zeuz.

 According to comics only one being can kill the Darkseid and that is his son 'Orayan'. He gave his son to the 'High Father' in the diplomatic exchange between New genisis and Apokolips. He took high father's son 'Scott Free'. Later Scott free became 'Mister Miracle'. 

Darkseid features in Snyder Cut 

What is the role of Darkseid in Justice league now ?

Originally Jack Snyder planned fans will see just glimpse of Darkseid in Justice league. Jack Snyder wants to bring Darkseid in second part of Justice league. He also planned the best fight between league and The Darkseid. But Warner Bros removed Darkseid's cameo from original cut. But in Snyder Cut we saw whole new level of Justice league trailer and Darkseid. 

Justice league's Snyder Cut is different from original theoritical cut. This is fact that 'Snyder cut will define the future of Darkseid in DC universe movie. Snyder Cut also define the fact that Darkseid will be next main villain of Justice league or not. DC universe also working on 'New gods' movie. So we will probably see 'Mister Miracle and 'Break Barden'. 

Currently DC universe working on so many projects. So we will definitely see many new superhero and super villain and new gods in next upcoming movies.

Darkseid is one of the most powerful and dangerous character of DC so if Darkseid will feature in upcoming Dc universe movie so that could be great treats for all of us.
